Who is The Man Behind Adam’s 2 Sense?

My name is Adam Stanton, but most people know me as Adam’s2Sense and even more so “The Popcorn Man”.

I didn’t come from money, and I didn’t follow a straight path to get where I am today. I grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario, raised by a single mother after my parents divorced. Money was tight — really tight. I watched my mom do whatever she could to make ends meet, from cleaning to collecting bottles and garbage from neighbors, all while relying on social assistance.

That environment shaped how I see money, work, and life.

School wasn’t my strong suit either. I struggled more than I succeeded. I had to repeat Grade 8, and even when I made it through high school, I went to university on my own dime, dropped out twice, and never completed my degree. For a long time, it felt like I just didn’t fit the system.

But one thing I always had was a drive to try new things.

From a young age, I was constantly starting small businesses — washing cars, selling products through ads, building websites, running an 800-number service, trying to bring nutrition products into Canada, computer consulting, automotive detailing… you name it, I probably tried it.

And most of them failed.

At the time, it didn’t feel great — but looking back, those failures taught me more about business, money, and people than anything else ever could.

Alongside all of that, I built a career in finance. I worked with Investors Group, ran my own currency trading company, and spent over 14 years with one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. That experience gave me a real look at how money works — not just what people are told, but how things actually operate behind the scenes.

Today, I bring all of that together through Adam’s2Sense.

This platform is where I share what I’ve learned about personal finance, investing, entrepreneurship, and building a business from the ground up — not from theory, but from real experience. The wins, the mistakes, and everything in between.

I also own and operate Munchies Gourmet Kettle Corn, a specialty popcorn business that has grown over 600% since I started it. It’s more than just a business — it’s a real-time example of everything I talk about: building something from nothing, figuring things out as you go, and learning through action.

At Munchies, we have a simple belief:
we don’t just sell popcorn — we sell a smile, happiness, and an experience.

That same mindset carries into everything I do. Whether it’s business or finance, I believe success isn’t just about numbers — it’s about creating something meaningful, treating people right, and building something that lasts.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
You don’t need a perfect background, a perfect education, or a perfect plan to build a better life. You just need to start, stay consistent, and be willing to learn along the way.
